Fokuzio is a browser extension that enhances the LinkedIn experience by highlighting content relevant to user-selected topics using local semantic analysis.

We are committed to minimizing data collection and preserving user agency.

Fokuzio is an independent, bootstrapped project focused on improving signal quality in algorithmic feeds.

1. Local Processing

Fokuzio is designed to operate primarily on the user’s device.

  • LinkedIn content visible to the user may be analyzed locally to determine relevance to selected topics.
  • Semantic matching runs in the browser using lightweight machine learning models.
  • No LinkedIn post content is transmitted to Fokuzio servers for analysis.

All content processing occurs locally unless explicitly stated otherwise in future feature updates.

2. Machine Learning Model Download

To enable local semantic matching, Fokuzio downloads lightweight machine learning model files from third-party repositories (such as Hugging Face).

These files:

  • Do not contain user data
  • Are stored locally on the user’s device
  • Are used exclusively for local inference
  • Do not transmit LinkedIn content back to Hugging Face

Fokuzio does not upload LinkedIn content to third-party model providers.

3. Analytics and Technical Data

Fokuzio collects limited technical and usage analytics to improve product stability and performance.

This may include:

  • Anonymous usage events
  • Feature interaction events
  • Browser type and version
  • Device and operating system information
  • Aggregated performance metrics

Analytics are collected using third-party analytics tools (such as PostHog).

We do not collect:

  • LinkedIn post content
  • Private messages
  • User credentials
  • Personal profile data

Analytics are used strictly for product improvement and debugging.

4. Data Storage

User preferences, selected topics, and extension settings are stored locally in the browser.

Fokuzio does not require account creation.

If future platform features introduce accounts or cloud synchronization, users will be clearly informed before any personal data is stored externally.

5. Future Cloud Features

Currently, semantic analysis runs entirely in the browser.

If future features require cloud-based processing, enhanced models, or remote APIs:

  • Users will be clearly informed
  • Transparent consent mechanisms will be implemented
  • Data handling practices will be updated in this Privacy Policy

6. Data Sharing

Fokuzio:

  • Does not sell user data
  • Does not use data for advertising targeting
  • Does not use data for creditworthiness or profiling
  • Does not share personal data with third parties except as required for basic analytics infrastructure

7. Security

We implement reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect collected data.

Because most processing occurs locally, exposure of user content is minimized by design.
